About

What is your reason for creating your visual novels?

Simply, I enjoy being creative.

Two events specifically led me to visual novels. The first was the movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi, followed by Dr. PinkCake’s visual novel, “Acting Lessons.”

Why the “The Last Jedi?”

TLJ was the glass-wall-breaking moment for me. Before TLJ, I was unaware of the culture war and the decline of Western media.

As I watched The Last Jedi for the first time, I felt hollow and confused. On my only re-watch of TLJ, I realized it was an awful film sullying something I once loved.

The Last Jedi left me with a realization. If a major movie studio chose to greenlight a 200+ million dollar project, a project whose story destroys the goodwill gained by the previous film while tarnishing one of the most successful franchises of all time, then whatever I could write would never be as horrendous as the script of “The Last Jedi.”

Following my TLJ realization, I began writing a novel. I finished my post-TLJ novel in 2019 and was deep into editing. Wanting a break, I jumped onto Steam to play a game.

Nothing in my Steam library was luring me in. I went through my recommended list and came across, “Acting Lessons.” The game had an overwhelmingly positive rating, with over 10,000 votes.

I bought Acting Lessons, unaware it was an adult visual novel. I played and enjoyed it. Acting Lessons opened the visual novel genre to me, and I fell deep into the rabbit hole.

I was inspired and began researching how to produce my visual novels. I shelved my post-TLJ novel and began work on my first visual novel story. Simultaneously, I started learning how to use a 3d program and how to code
.
Awoken and inspired I ventured into creating visual novels.
